Full job description

JST Forklifts Ltd is a prominent independent provider in the materials handling industry, renowned for its innovative solutions & strong financial stability. We specialize in forklift truck sales, hire, maintenance, warehouse racking design and installation, as well as mobile access and cleaning equipment. Our commitment is to deliver cost-effective and tailored services to our clients across the UK.

We are looking to recruit a Parts Manager to assist the service team and manage the sourcing and supply of forklift parts efficiently for customers, own rental/hire fleet vehicles and workshop requests. To constantly seek cost effective alternatives, maintaining and managing stock levels and to deliver excellent customer service at our Chelveston facility.

The Parts Manager is responsible for managing the inventory of forklift parts, ensuring that parts are readily available for service needs and assisting customers with parts inquiries and sales.

The Job

Identify & ordering of forklift parts, service & workshop consumables using industry specific software
Provide technical assistance and advice regarding parts and service
Taking customer part price & availability enquiries (i.e. telephone calls, e-mail)
Keeping the service & workshop department up to date with all outstanding parts and progress
Perform regular inventory checks and manage stock levels
Coordinate with vendors for re-stocking and sourcing parts
Maintain a clean and organised work enviroment
Identifying & obtaining alternative parts references and sourcing more cost effective priced parts
Handle returns and exchanges of parts as necessary
Organising year end stock take & periodically performing stock takes & price checks
Hours of work - 8am - 5.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch

SKILLS

Previous experience in parts sales or inventory management preferred
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Proficient in using computers and software applications
Familiarity with parts catalogues and inventory management software
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Problem solving abilities and a strong customer orientated approach
