The Role

Radio Control Room Operator

Location: Barnet
Hours: 42.5 hours per week | Any 5 from 7
Salary: £33,525.70 | £15.17 per hour

Do you have enjoy helping people and can converse well?

We are recruiting for a Radio Control Room Operator at our Barnet base to operate the radio system between Enforcement Officers. You will help ensure the safety of patrolling officers through actioning the messages transmitted and providing administrative assistance to the suspension team.

What can you expect as a Radio Control Room Operator?

You will make and receive radio calls to and from patrolling Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs)
You will converse between the patrollers and the base to relay and action messages
You will react calmly to CEO codes and direct colleagues and external assistance for as required
You will report any equipment defects and radio system abuse and carry out regular radio checks
You will monitor and record CEO movements to ensure their safety and welfare.

Could this be the role for you? The radio system is essential for assisting patrolling Officers, who are the eyes and ears of the neighbourhood. You will help them provide advice to residents and members of the public and enforce policies to create to positive impact in the area.

Ideal applicants will have:

Clear and coherent communication skills
Basic grasp of a functioning radio system
Excellent customer service skills
Works well within a team
Calm and controlled manner in demanding situations
Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
