Overview

We are seeking a motivated Fixed Term Warehouse Operative with Forklift to join our team and support our warehousing operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth handling of goods and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Handle materials efficiently through picking, packing, stocking, and order fulfillment processes
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely and effectively to load, unload, and move stock
Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatches
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and update stock records
Conduct quality control checks to verify product integrity and adherence to standards
Assist with mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting of warehouse equipment when necessary
Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations, including materials handling and stock management
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely (certification preferred)
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
Physical capability for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and standing for extended periods
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and quality control processes
Mechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
