Assistant Manager – Mojito Hamilton

Location: Hamilton, South Lanarkshire
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Assistant Manager who shares our passion for hospitality and can help lead our team to the highest standards.

About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you'll support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the venue, leading by example to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest operational standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ideal for someone who enjoys motivating a team, leading from the front, and delivering consistently outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day management of the venue.
Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team.
Deliver exceptional customer experiences across both food and beverage service.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service.
Support the smooth running of both the bar and restaurant operations.
Assist with staff training, coaching and performance.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures.
Help drive sales through excellent service, product knowledge and upselling.
Build positive relationships with customers and actively support Mojito's involvement within the local community.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospitality management or supervisory role.
Previous cocktail-making experience with strong product knowledge.
Previous experience working in a venue serving both food and drinks.
Good understanding of food service standards and working alongside a kitchen team.
Experience working in a busy, fast-paced bar or restaurant.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and lead by example.
A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.
Enjoy working as part of a team.
Friendly, approachable and confident when engaging with customers.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Desirable

Personal Licence Holder (preferred but not essential).
Experience with stock management, ordering and cash handling.
Experience recruiting, training and developing team members.
