Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team. This role involves supporting the preparation and cooking of meals in a busy kitchen environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar position, have excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients
Cook dishes according to provided recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Support with meal assembly and presentation for service
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or culinary setting is t essential though training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in a restaurant or catering service is necessary
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation

Pay: From £12.75 per hour
