Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly organised, commercially focused Commercial Product Coordinator to join our Product Support team.
This role combines team leadership, commercial decision-making and product management support, ensuring our live holiday portfolio remains accurate, commercially competitive and aligned to business objectives.
Working with and guiding the Commercial Product Administrators, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities, managing competing priorities and ensuring product administration tasks are delivered accurately and on time.
Alongside people management responsibilities, you will develop a strong understanding of product performance, availability, profitability and sales trends, helping to identify risks and opportunities across the portfolio.
This is a dynamic role within a fast-paced travel environment where priorities can change quickly in response to trading performance, capacity availability, supplier updates and market conditions. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, an effective organiser and someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery with commercial thinking.
Working closely with Product, Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Customer Operations and external partners, you will play a key role in ensuring our products are effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.
Accountabilities:
Product & Commercial Management
· Oversee the administration and maintenance of all live holiday products across cruise and touring programmes.
· Monitor product performance, capacity and availability, ensuring any issues are identified and addressed promptly.
· Review product costs and commercial performance, highlighting opportunities or risks to relevant stakeholders.
· Support the management of product inventory and package availability, ensuring alignment with business objectives and trading plans.
· Assist in evaluating product performance against key commercial targets, including sales, capacity utilisation and margin delivery.
· Proactively identify potential issues relating to stock, pricing, package configuration or profitability.
· Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the travel market, destination trends and supplier relationships.
Stakeholder Management
· Work closely with Commercial, Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations and Customer Service teams to coordinate product activity.
· Ensure product updates and amendments are communicated accurately and in a timely manner across the business.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support new product launches, product changes and promotional activity.
· Assist in resolving product-related issues and queries from across the organisation.
Team Leadership & Coordination
· Collectively, with other Commercial Product Coordinators, Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Commercial Product Administrator team.
· Allocate workload and manage priorities to ensure service levels and deadlines are achieved.
· Monitor team output to ensure product updates and amendments are completed accurately and efficiently.
· Support the development and training of team members, helping to build product, system and commercial knowledge.
· Act as an escalation point for complex product administration queries and issues.
· Provide coaching, guidance and support to team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
Process Improvement & Governance
· Ensure product administration processes are followed consistently across the team.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness.
· Maintain high standards of product data accuracy across all systems and customer-facing channels.
· Produce and analyse reports to support commercial decision-making and operational planning.
· Contribute to the development of processes, controls and best practices within the Product function.
Qualifications/ skills/ experience / knowledge
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience coordinating workloads, projects or people within a fast-paced business environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand business performance and trading priorities.
- Broad knowledge of the travel industry, including holiday products, destinations and customer expectations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Previous experience in a travel, tour operator, cruise, product, commercial or operational environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing business requirements.
Desirable:
- Experience leading, mentoring or supervising a team.
- Knowledge of cruise and touring products.
- Experience working with product management, inventory or reservation systems.
- Understanding of pricing, margins and inventory management principles.
- Experience supporting commercial trading or product performance activities.
