Overview

Join our team as a Housekeeper at The Shireburn, where your dedication to cleanliness and hospitality will create a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests and staff. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas of the property are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, comfort, and presentation. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute directly to the exceptional guest experience we pride ourselves on delivering every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment that values professionalism, teamwork, and excellence.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, towels, and cleaning materials to ensure readiness for guest needs.
Maintain cleanliness in bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, and other communal areas according to established standards.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for swift resolution.
Follow health and safety protocols rigorously to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
Assist with laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels as needed.
Support team members during busy periods by stepping into additional cleaning or guest service tasks when required.

Qualifications

Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is highly preferred.
Demonstrated janitorial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a positive approach to guest service.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shifts.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or holidays as needed.
