Location: Mobile role - Reading/ M4 Corridor

Salary: £45,000 + Overtime

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Role Overview:

To undertake a professional service for our clients working on a varied selection of HVAC, M&E and control systems.

To help with the delivery of mechanical work aspects and assist site supervisors to ensure all works are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all our customer/s.

To ensure the installations are to current regulations and to be able to work as a team member and manage the team and programme efficiently.

What you'll do:

To carry out installation and remedial works on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems within a live Data Centre environment,
Ensure good relationships with site supervisors, fellow engineers, apprentices & customers when conducting works on site.
Carry out all mechanical installations or repairs to plant in accordance with manufacturers schedules, EMCOR company standards & client’s requirements
Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
Ensure acceptable standards of productivity and workmanship are maintained in the execution of work.
Work as part of a team to deliver an efficient and effective service to the client, customer and stakeholders
Take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others around you is always considered when working on sites ensuring that other employees, customers or members of the public are not affected by your activities.
Carry out such duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by the Line Supervisor and / or other Senior Managers
To read, understand & adhere to site RAMS for the work to be carried out & identify hazards to assist in the safe execution of site works.
To identify any shortfalls in training with your supervisor and to work with the administration teams to ensure these gaps are closed.
Maintain day-to-day contact with the site supervisor and attend meetings as directed

About the role

Who you'll be:

Qualified to City & Guilds level 2-3 or NVQ 2-3 as HVAC Installer Engineer
3+ years of experience in an installer / engineer’s position.
Experience of commercial mechanical installations.
Experience of installation of chilled water & LTHW & MCW distribution systems
Experience of air handling & air conditioning systems is not essential but is advantageous.
Knowledge of ventilation systems is not essential but would be advantageous.
Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
Be able to communicate effectively and have flexible approach to work patterns.
Willingness to train, update and improve themselves for the benefit of the contract
First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but advantageous if already certified.
