- Authorisations Division, which assesses applications from firms seeking authorisation or making changes to regulated activities.
- Regulatory Technology, Data and Innovation Division.
- Supervision of the UK operations of international banks, custodians and designated investment firms headquartered in more than 50 jurisdictions worldwide.
Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to join the ARTIS Director's Office, providing dedicated support to the ARTIS Director and two Senior Advisors. The Director's areas of responsibility include Regulatory Technology, Data and Innovation, European Overseas Banks, Cross-Firm Analysis and Supervision.

You will play a key role in helping senior leaders operate effectively by managing competing priorities, anticipating needs, identifying solutions and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day activities.
We are particularly interested in candidates who enjoy improving the way things are done. The successful candidate will be confident exploring and adopting new technologies, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and helping the wider support team work more efficiently. This role is not simply about maintaining existing processes – it is about continuously looking for ways to simplify, improve and modernise them.
You will work closely with the Executive Director's Office, HOD PAs and the wider ARTIS Support Team, and the Support Team Champion building strong relationships across the PRA and wider Bank.
Where the role holder is based in Leeds, they would be expected to travel to London as required to meet business needs, including attendance at directorate events, conferences and in-person meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support
- Manage complex and frequently changing diaries for the Director and Senior Advisors, using sound judgement to prioritise competing demands.
- Ensure the Director receives the appropriate papers, briefings and information in advance of meetings.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries, logistics and associated documentation.
- Process expenses in line with Bank policies and procedures.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Process Improvement and Technology
- Champion efficient ways of working across the wider support team, leaning into the Bank’s efficiency programme by identifying practical opportunities to simplify and streamline administrative processes, reduce duplication and manual effort, and free up time for higher-value work.
- Support and promote the adoption and effective use of new technologies, digital tools and Microsoft 365 capabilities.
- Share best practice and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the support community.
Team and Directorate Support
- Work collaboratively with the ED PA, HoD PAs and wider support team to provide a seamless support service.
- Provide cover for the ED PA when required.
- Act as the Directorate’s Requisitioner Hub member, providing support and guidance on requisitioning processes and helping to ensure requests are managed accurately and efficiently.
- Deputise for the Support Team Champion, including coordinating rotas, organising team meetings and supporting wider administrative initiatives.
- Contribute positively to team culture and support colleagues during periods of high demand.

Requirements
Minimum Criteria
- Experience supporting senior leaders in a PA, Executive Assistant or equivalent support role, including managing complex diaries and coordinating competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong digital skills, including Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote.
Essential Criteria
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Bank operational processes such as travel and expenses, or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience using technology to simplify administrative activities or improve team effectiveness.
- Experience leading or contributing to process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Bank systems including OBS and Oracle.

Salary and Benefits Information
This is a full-time position.
Salary is circa £25,760 - £28,900. In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
- Currently, a non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year. The Bank has the discretion to vary standard accrual rates and dial up and dial down rates at any time and to withdraw dial up and dial down options at any time.
- A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
- An 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
- 26 days’ annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.

National Security Vetting Process
Employment in this role will be subject to the National Security Vetting clearance process (and typically can take between 6 to 12 weeks post offer) and the passing of additional Bank security checks in accordance with the Bank policy.
