Explorers Day Nursery is a purpose-built, welcoming, and nurturing setting conveniently located just off the M271 in Nursling, making it ideal for those living locally or commuting to Southampton and surrounding areas.

We provide a high-quality early years environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and learn through play. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, happy place where children feel confident to try new things, build friendships, and enjoy every moment of their nursery day.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic Senior Nursery Room Leader to join our Nursery Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident early years professional who is ready to make a real difference within our nursery.

As well as leading one of our nursery rooms, you will take on the role of Third in Charge, supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the setting and confidently stepping into a leadership role in their absence.

You will play a key part in creating a positive, supportive and inspiring environment for both children and colleagues. By leading by example, mentoring and developing your team, and building strong relationships with families, you will help ensure every child receives the highest standard of care and education. You will also work alongside the leadership team to drive continuous improvement, maintain outstanding practice and create a nurturing environment where children and staff can thrive.

Hours:

36 hours over 4 days, or
40 hours over 5 days

Pattern: All-year-round (term-time positions not available)
