Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise technical skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to infrastructure development and environmental sustainability. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in mechanical, plumbing, and construction-related disciplines.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain drainage infrastructure using appropriate tools and techniques
Conduct site surveys to assess existing drainage conditions and identify potential issues
utilise welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly skills to construct or modify drainage components
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during installation and repair tasks
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required on-site
Collaborate with other engineering professionals to ensure project compliance and quality standards
Conduct routine inspections of drainage systems to identify faults or blockages
Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation related to drainage projects

Skills

Must have: Full, clean driving license
Must have: CSCS card
Experience: Jetting, Patching, Lining
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to drainage systems and infrastructure
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate installation and maintenance work
Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications accurately
Good physical fitness to handle demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Effective communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

This role, will at times require extensive night works which are compensated for as part of the overall offered package.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about civil engineering, infrastructure development, and environmental protection. Candidates should be organised, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute their specialised skills to challenging projects.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
