quans is looking for a Caretaker to join our team working in Wheelers Lane Primary School, Birmingham B13 0SF . This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,728.21 per annum and benefits package.
Shift times: 8 hour shift within the hours of 6am until 6pm rotating shift pattern What will you deliver?
Responsible for the delivery of caretaking/premises upkeep within the Schools, together with establishing a close working relationship with the school and community groups. Ensure that all services are provided to a consistently high standard in accordance with the requirements of the Project Agreement. Qualifications or Required Experience:

Experience

Proven track record in facilities management, including litter control and basic building systems maintenance. (Essential)
Skilled in producing risk assessments and method statements. (Essential)
Experience in caretaking or premises management, ideally within an educational setting. (Desirable)

Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations. (Essential)
Effective organisational and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines. (Essential)
Experience as a key holder responsible for site access. (Essential)

Education & Qualifications

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English. (Desirable)
Relevant trade or vocational qualification. (Desirable)

Personal Attributes

Physically capable of performing caretaking tasks. (Essential)
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. (Essential)
Collaborative team player who shares knowledge. (Essential)
Excellent communication and customer service skills. (Essential)
Flexible with working hours, including occasional out-of-hours duties. (Essential)
Resides within 20 minutes travel radius of the site. (Essential)
