About The Role

Altrad Integrity Services are currently looking for an Integrity Services Base Technician to join our Cathodic Protection (CP) team. This is a hands-on role supporting the manufacture, assembly, testing, maintenance and repair of specialist cathodic protection products and associated equipment for the Oil & Gas, Marine, Defence and Renewables sectors. You will play a key role in ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards while supporting project mobilisation and operational delivery. Key Deliverables:

Manufacture, assemble, test, maintain and repair Cathodic Protection (CP) products and associated equipment.
Produce, test and certify Ag/AgCl reference electrodes and other specialist CP equipment.
Carry out fault finding, servicing and repairs on electrical and technical equipment.
Ensure all products meet company QA/QC standards and client specifications prior to dispatch.
Support the preparation, inspection and mobilisation of equipment for offshore and onshore projects.
Maintain workshop equipment, tools and testing facilities to ensure operational readiness.
Manage workshop stores and maintain accurate stock levels of components, consumables and finished products.
Complete certification packs, testing records and technical documentation accurately and efficiently.
Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers and operational teams to support project delivery schedules.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, HSEQ requirements and industry best practice.
Identify equipment defects and recommend repairs or replacement where necessary.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to manufacturing processes, product quality and operational efficiency.
Support new product development activities through assembly, testing and evaluation of prototype equipment.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping within workshop and storage areas.
Promote a positive safety culture by adhering to all company health, safety, environmental and quality policies.
Build positive working relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to support business objectives.

Key Requirements:

HNC, recognised apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification, or significant relevant industry experience.
Experience in the testing, maintenance and repair of electrical or technical equipment.
Strong practical engineering and fault-finding skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Good understanding of health, safety and quality requirements within a workshop or manufacturing environment.

Desirable:

Experience working with electrical, subsea or Cathodic Protection equipment.
Knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as assembly, soldering and potting.
PAT Testing qualification.
COSHH Awareness certification.
Forklift Licence.
Experience supporting Oil & Gas, Marine, Defence or Renewables industries.
