Location: Various including Bowness Information Centre and Coniston Information Centre
Hourly rate: £14.56 per hour (including holiday pay)

We’re hiring Customer Service Assistants to join us on fixed term until the end of October at our visitor Information Centres in the southern Lake District, including at Bowness and Coniston. You’ll share your love of the Lake District with thousands of visitors and use your local knowledge to make their visit even more memorable. You’ll work flexibly, providing additional cover such as during our peak visitor season or staff holidays up to the end of October 2026.

The role
Your main duties will be:

Help visitors get the most out of their visit to the Lake District National Park area by providing a high friendly and informative customer service
Working in the visitor centre shop and ensuring our retail displays are kept orderly and eye catching for our customers
Cash handling
Work positively with volunteers and welcome them into the team

About you
Ideally you will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment. Previous retail and/or hospitality experience is preferable but not essential, as is good local knowledge of the south Lake District and surrounding area.
