Full job description

Ekota Café is an exciting new café opening in Goodmayes Park. We are passionate about serving high quality coffee, creating a welcoming atmosphere and becoming a valued part of the local community.

We are currently looking for experienced Baristas to join our team as we prepare to open our doors.

The Role

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high quality drinks, providing excellent customer service, and helping to create a positive experience for every customer who visits the café.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Barista
Confident in preparing a range of coffee based drinks
Strong latte art and milk texturing skills
Excellent spoken English and communication skills
Friendly, professional and customer-focused
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, tea, smoothies, and other beverages to a high standard
Deliver exceptional customer service
Operate the till and process customer payments
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café
Follow food safety and health & safety procedures
Assist with opening and closing duties
Support colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Desirable Skills

Experience working in a speciality coffee environment
Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods and equipment maintenance
Food preparation experience
Basic stock management experience
