Lead the Growth of a High-Potential Retrofit Business

EMEREO Ltd is an established specialist contractor delivering window, door, and retrofit solutions to the social housing and public sectors. As we continue to expand our retrofit and decarbonisation offering, we are seeking an ambitious and experienced Contracts & Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in developing and leading this growing division.

This is more than a project management role. We are looking for someone who can combine commercial awareness, operational leadership, and business development expertise to help shape the future of our retrofit business and capitalise on significant market opportunities across the UK.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the commercial and operational performance of retrofit projects while supporting the continued growth of the division. Being part of the senior leadership team, you will help secure new opportunities, manage client relationships, oversee project delivery, and ensure strong commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing retrofit and energy efficiency contracts from tender through to completion.
Generating new business opportunities and taking ownership of their development and conversion into sustainable revenue growth
Preparing, reviewing and negotiating contract documentation.
Leading procurement and subcontractor management activities.
Managing project profitability, valuations, variations and commercial reporting.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with housing associations, local authorities and principal contractors.
Supporting tender submissions and framework applications.
Driving operational performance, quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.
Contributing to the strategic growth of EMEREO's Retrofit & Decarbonisation Division.

About You

We're looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in the social housing, construction, retrofit or energy efficiency sectors.

Ideally, you will have:

Proven experience in contract and commercial management.
Experience delivering social housing retrofit programmes.
Knowledge of PAS 2030/2035, SHDF, ECO or similar retrofit frameworks.
Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial controls.
Experience managing client relationships and securing repeat business.
Excellent communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.

Experience within window and door replacement programmes would be beneficial, although we would also welcome applications from candidates with experience in wider retrofit measures including insulation, solar PV, ventilation and decarbonisation projects.

This role will ideally suit someone based in West Yorkshire, although applications from candidates located elsewhere in the UK will be considered. Regular travel to projects and client meetings will be required.
