Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Production Operative to join our dynamic and growing team at Clotton Creamery. We produce a range of dairy products including clotted cream, custard, rice pudding and alcoholic dairy products. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the food production process, ensuring that all operations adhere to strict food safety standards and regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of HACCP principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform as part of a small team. As a Food Production Operative you will play a key role in our production process, ensuring seamless operations and maintain our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient operation.
Follow established procedures for food safety and quality control, including HACCP protocols.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area in compliance with health regulations.
Assist in the preparation and packaging of food products while adhering to quality standards.
Undertake necessary training to be HACCP and CCP aware within our food safety system.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Record production data accurately for reporting purposes.
To undertake regular organoleptic product testing including testing clotted cream, fresh custard and rice pudding.

Experience

Previous experience in food production or a similar role is highly desirable.
Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety regulations is desirable but not essential. Training will be given.
Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of production. Join our team as a Production Operator, where your skills will contribute significantly to our commitment to quality and safety in food production.

Working Hours

This is a full time roll.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
