Job Overview

We are looking for a organised and proactive Buyer's Administrator to support our Procurement team with the day-to-day administration of purchasing and operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate records are maintained, supporting project administration, coordinating purchase requirements, and assisting the Buyers with a variety of administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining all project-on-hire reports, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
Updating and maintaining digital files and the OneDrive folder structure to ensure documents are organised and easily accessible.
Updating and maintaining Smart Waste records in a timely and accurate manner.
Keeping the muckaway and aggregate cost tracker current, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.
Coordinating and arranging site inductions for new personnel.
Booking deliveries for construction sites and liaising with suppliers to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
Monitoring and managing PPE stock levels, ensuring adequate supplies are available across projects.
Providing administrative support to the Buyer and Senior Buyer across procurement activities.
Assisting with the preparation, filing and maintenance of procurement documentation and records.
Responding to telephone and email enquiries in a professional manner.
Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as required.

Essentials

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time management skills.
The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Outlook and Word).
A willingness to learn and develop within a busy procurement environment.

Desirables

Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role is desirable but not essential.
Experience within the construction or procurement industry would be advantageous but is not required.

Pay: £28,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
