STUDIO MANAGER

Location: One City Hove

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £28k–£30k per annum (Experience dependent)

We’re looking for a dynamic, proactive, and highly organised Studio Manager to take full ownership of operations in our Hove studio.

As Studio Manager, you are the driver of the studio’s success. You will lead a high-performing Front of House team, working closely with our senior team and our elite instructors to deliver an exceptional, end-to-end member experience. This is a role for a proven leader who thrives on operational excellence, data-driven results, and building a culture of elite standards.

Whether you are an experienced Studio Manager or a high-performing Assistant Manager ready for the next step, you will be responsible for shaping the environment where our community pushes their limits every single day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Studio Operations

Ensuring the studio runs smoothly and to standard.

Oversee daily studio operations, including team management, retail, and facilities.
Manage rotas to ensure the studio runs at peak efficiency 7 days a week.
Maintain high cleaning, safety and presentation standards.
Oversee equipment and stock management.
Resolve issues quickly and proactively.
Deliver consistent opening and closing compliance.

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, train, and build a team that reflects the One City culture.
Set clear expectations and performance standards.
Provide regular feedback and structured reviews.
Coach & develop team members
Manage performance confidently and professionally.
Build a positive, high-energy culture.

Member Experience

Protect and elevate the member journey.
Be visible and engaged on the studio floor.
Handle feedback and complaints effectively.
Build strong member relationships.
Monitor retention and member satisfaction.
Ensure consistent premium standards are upheld.

Community & Commercial Growth

Analyse weekly analytics and hit targets to drive revenue and build member retention.
Use data to drive decision making
Drive memberships, upselling and secondary spend.
Marketing Collaboration: Work with our marketing team to execute studio-specific initiatives that drive brand awareness.
Balance strong service with cost control.

Personal Accountability

Own results, behaviour and standards.
Take responsibility for outcomes.

Remain professional under pressure.
Lead by example.

Communication

Communicate clearly and confidently.
Lead team meetings & individual feedback effectively.

Drive consistency across all shifts.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

2+ years of proven leadership experience in a management role (Fitness, Hospitality, or Retail).
Operational Expert: Proven experience managing facilities and complex operations in a fast-paced environment.
Strong Communicator: Exceptional time management and the ability to communicate with clarity and authority.
Data-Driven: Comfortable working with KPIs and using data to influence studio performance.
Group Fitness Leadership: Proven experience leading, teaching, or coaching structured fitness classes. (Preferred, not required)

THE LOGISTICS

Flexibility: Our studios operate 7 days a week, on high energy from early morning to late evening on Monday - Friday and in the mornings on Weekends. You must be flexible to support the business needs, including on weekends.
Hours: Shifts can start as early as 5:30 am or finish as late as 8:30 pm.
