Overview
We are seeking passionate and skilled Chefs of all levels to join our dynamic culinary team. Whether you are starting your career or bringing extensive experience, this role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant hospitality environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a positive team atmosphere. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer a chance to grow professionally in a supportive setting.

Here at The Firepit we are willing to fund training in Level 2 Production Chef, Level 2 Commis Chef and Level 3 Senior Production Chef courses. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to develop their skills or take the next step in the career. As a growing business, promotion is always a viable option.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Assist in food production and ensure timely delivery of meals during service hours
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction
Manage inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste
Support the training of new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative ideas and seasonal specials
Serve food efficiently during busy periods, ensuring excellent customer service

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is advantageous for senior roles but not essential for entry-level positions
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
Previous experience in food production, restaurant service, or hospitality is highly valued
