Full job description

The office administrator will be responsible for the following :

Maintaining accurate and complete financial records of the home in line with the homes policies and procedures, using computer and manual systems.

Prepare and issue regular reports and data summaries within the prescribed timescales.

Process receipts of monies against Clients’ accounts.

Maintain records of purchase orders, client invoices, petty cash, clients’ personal allowances, banking and payroll information.

Maintain client data – service contracts, family contact address, fee contributions, date admitted, date discharged, room number.

Prepare and submit client invoices and keep records of receipts.

Liaise with local authority finance department with regards to client fees and changes in contributions

Assist the home manager in ensuring continuity of the Payroll.

Provide administrative / secretarial support to the Home Manager e.g. typing, filing, and dealing with correspondence etc, within given timescales.

The Administrator must have the following skills:

Good numerical and word processing skills
Knowledge / experience of MS Word and MS Excel
Good communication and organisational skills
Professional telephone manner
Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
An appreciation of need for confidentiality

The administrator will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be borne by the administrator.

The job role is 30 hours per week, working 9.00am-3.00pm.
