Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in a timely and safe manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring patients receive their medications promptly.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, to deliver pharmacy orders to customers across designated routes
Ensure accurate and secure handling of pharmaceutical products during transit
Confirm delivery details with customers upon arrival and obtain necessary signatures or acknowledgements
Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle
Adhere to all traffic laws and health & safety regulations during deliveries
Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered
Assist with warehouse tasks such as loading and unloading deliveries when required, including heavy lifting of medication boxes or equipment
Keep accurate records of deliveries made, including mileage and delivery times

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable, particularly within pharmacy, healthcare, or retail sectors
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Commercial driving experience preferred, with knowledge of route planning and navigation systems
Experience working in warehouse environments involving heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines whilst maintaining safety standards

This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals committed to providing excellent service within the healthcare logistics sector.

2 days a week

12 noon to 4pm

Some days are less busier than others

Will need use of own car
