Full job description

Role Definition:

Responsible for managing Production ensuring that production lines are producing customer orders in accordance with our Customer requirements, defined timescales and targets, that finished product is dispatched in accordance with our Customer defined timescales and guidelines in a way that minimizes costs and maximizes efficiencies , ensuring legal compliance in terms of food safety and health and safety of individuals and product.

Key Responsibilities

To assist with improving the operational management of the site in order to achieve site business plan, budget and site KPI's

To ensure the Production functions work seamlessly to deliver total site efficiency

To lead your team to support the overall objectives of the site

To foster an environment of continuous improvement and drive a Lean culture at site

To support the overall business of objectives of Group and site and support projects and priorities as required

To work alongside the Planning, Purchasing, Technical, Finance, HR & IT functions in the best interests of the site and customer agenda

To champion a people engagement culture within the site, promoting excellence and diversity

To lead, motivate and empower your team to deliver best practice, leading by example.

To foster our business values

To improve the business support and reporting systems in place to support best in class operations

Food Safety, quality and hygiene - Adhere to current legislation and company procedures with regards safe food production and handling

Responsible for ensuring factory meets KPI's - Cost of production, Overheads, Yields, Giveaway, Labour, Service Level etc.

Health & Safety - Understand the Health & Safety at work policies and current legislation. Take responsibility for your team to ensure a safe and healthy environment is maintained.

Motivate and lead direct reports

Achieve operational site objectives

Production and Warehouse management experience in a FMCG company

Experience of meeting and exceeding the requirements of customers

Strong Microsoft suite and general business system skills

Speaking, writing and understanding excellent spoken and written English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability, management and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process)

Good organisational/ time management skills

Ability to prioritise requests effectively

Excellent communication and presentation skills
