Maintenance Service Coordinator

Chelmsford, Essex | Full Time| Commercial Electrical

Are you the sort of person who naturally builds relationships, loves organising and enjoys making things happen?

We're looking for someone who is organised, switched on and proactive to join our growing team as a Maintenance Service Coordinator. Our current Service Coordinator has recently been promoted, creating an exciting opportunity for someone to join a growing business where hard work, initiative and the right attitude are recognised and rewarded.

You'll become the dedicated coordinator for your own portfolio of commercial clients, acting as the link between our customers and our engineers to ensure every job runs smoothly from enquiry through to completion.

This is a fast-paced, varied role where you'll coordinate engineers across London and the South East, keep clients informed, solve problems, and make sure every detail is in place so jobs are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Success in this role comes from two things: exceptional organisation and the ability to build great relationships. You'll enjoy speaking to people, quickly build rapport with clients and engineers, and won't hesitate to pick up the phone to make things happen.

This vacancy has arisen because our current Service Coordinator has been promoted—a great example of the opportunities available as our business continues to grow.

We're a growing commercial electrical contractor delivering maintenance and small works across London and the South East.

What you'll be doing

· Managing your own portfolio of commercial clients.

· Coordinating reactive and planned electrical works from enquiry through to completion.

· Planning and scheduling engineers while ensuring SLAs are achieved.

· Booking works, ordering materials and access equipment, and ensuring engineers have everything they need.

· Keeping clients informed throughout every stage of the workflow.

· Building strong working relationships with clients and engineers.

· Processing job paperwork, quotes and invoices in a timely manner.

· Updating client portals and internal systems.

· Helping maintain compliance, training and operational records.

· Identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.

· Supporting the wider team and directors where required.

We're looking for someone who:

· Thrives on being organised and keeping lots of moving parts under control.

· Can confidently prioritise multiple jobs and changing deadlines.

· Loves building relationships and enjoys speaking to people.

· Is confident picking up the phone and building rapport with clients and engineers.

· Learns quickly and is highly computer literate.

· Is articulate, professional and has excellent attention to detail.

· Takes ownership, thinks ahead and enjoys solving problems.

· Works well as part of a supportive team and genuinely cares about delivering excellent service.
