Are you an experienced boiler sales professional with a proven background in boiler or renewable energy sales?

This is an opportunity to join Thistle Boilers, one of Scotland’s leading independent boiler specialists, attending fully pre-qualified appointments with homeowners across Lanarkshire and Glasgow.

Previous experience in boiler sales or a closely related renewable energy sales role is essential. Please do not apply if you do not have relevant industry sales experience.

The Role

This is initially a part-time, freelance position, with the opportunity for additional appointments and full days as demand grows.

You’ll attend pre-booked, pre-qualified and pre-vetted appointments with homeowners who are actively considering replacing their boiler.

There is no cold calling or door-to-door prospecting.

Your responsibilities will include:

Attending pre-qualified appointments across Lanarkshire and Glasgow
Carrying out professional in-home boiler surveys and consultations
Understanding each customer’s heating and hot water requirements
Presenting suitable boiler options clearly and professionally
Explaining the benefits of different heating systems, warranties and options
Providing customers with confidence in their purchase
Closing sales while maintaining a professional, no-pressure customer experience
Managing your appointments and follow-ups effectively
Representing the Thistle Boilers brand to a high standard at all times

What We’re Looking For

Industry sales experience is essential for this position.

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience in boiler sales or a similar sales role within the renewable heating sector, such as heat pumps or solar
A strong and demonstrable sales record
The ability to build rapport quickly and confidently with homeowners
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A driven, results-focused approach
A consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
A professional, customer-first attitude
Strong organisation and follow-up skills
Flexibility to travel throughout Lanarkshire and Glasgow
Your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence
