Homeless Youth Support Worker – Llety Pontio Project

Anglesey

Salary Point 20-21

FTE £25,916.80 TO £26,717.60 PRO RATA a

17.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

(with some flexibility to meet service user needs)

Are you passionate about supporting young people aged 16 to 24, who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness, to make lasting positive changes in their lives? If yes, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking to recruit a part time enthusiastic and experienced support worker to deliver tenancy related support service to young people who are homeless or in housing need through the provision of short-term temporary accommodation and floating support. Assisting young people to move on into more permanent longer-term accommodation in line with their needs.

Ideally applicants would be expected to:

Have an appropriate qualification and/or experience of providing tenancy related support to vulnerable people with complex needs
Have experience in delivering person centred support services to those accessing Llety Pontio
Have a working knowledge of welfare benefits including housing benefit.
Have a good I.T skills
Able to adopt a flexible approach to working hours to meet service user needs
The ability to drive and having access to a car is essential
The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS check that will be processed by Digartref.

Company Remuneration Package

26 days annual leave pro rata (rising to 29 dependent on length of service) plus bank holidays

Paid training and development opportunities
Paid mileage for in work related travel at 55p per mile
Paid Enhanced DBS

The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh, or the commitment to learn, is an essential requirement for this post.
