Gas Breakdown Engineer

Base Salary of £33,155 | Realistic OTE up to £45k+ per annum | Company Van & Fuel Card | Local Patch in Ellesmere Port

Your Role as Our Gas Breakdown Engineer:

Attend and diagnose gas heating breakdowns within domestic properties.
Carry out fault-finding, repairs, and first-time fixes where possible, ensuring systems are restored safely and efficiently.
Work in accordance with health & safety guidelines, safe working practices, operational procedures, gas safety regulations, and specifications.
Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota to support customers when they need us most.
Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and safety.
Accurately report and complete work using a PDA/mobile device.
Report accidents, near-miss events, and potential hazards.
Be flexible in working with a wide range of customers, adapting to their needs and schedules.
Identify and advise on any further remedial works required to ensure safe operation of heating systems.

What We Need from You:

ACS qualifications: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing domestic gas heating systems.
A full UK driving licence.
Flexibility and a positive attitude towards varied work and schedules.
Excellent customer service skills with experience working directly with the public.
A solid understanding of gas legislation and regulations.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices and working to industry best standards.
Ability to manage your time and workload independently.
Recognised formal qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) desirable.
Additional qualifications (LPG, Unvented) are advantageous.
