Full job description

We're looking for an HR Administrator to join our People team and play a key role in providing efficient and professional administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
In this 5 month contract you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting employee relations processes, coordinating payroll and compliance activities, and ensuring employees and managers receive a high-quality service.
What You Will Do
Provide administrative support to HR Business Partners, HR Advisors, and managers on employee relations cases, including arranging meetings, diary management, preparing documentation, and taking notes.
Process employee lifecycle activities through the HR system (iTrent), including changes to employment, family leave requests, and leaver administration.
Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, managing the inbox and responding within agreed service levels.
Produce employment references for current and former employees.
Maintain accurate records, employee files, and organisational structure charts.
Support payroll processes by preparing reports relating to absence and leave.
Coordinate occupational health, physiotherapy, counselling referrals, and safety-critical medical appointments.
Support the administration of drug and alcohol screening programmes in liaison with occupational health providers and managers.
Manage compliance tracking, including employee right-to-work documentation.
Raise purchase orders and provide general administrative support across the People function.
Provide cover for HR Administrator colleagues to ensure a seamless HR service.
Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and employee experience initiatives.
Support wider People team activities as required.
What You Will Bring
Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within an HR environment.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees and managers at all levels.
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Effective time-management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing business needs.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
