Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation, food safety, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their catering and culinary skills within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards
Support the catering team in preparing ingredients and organising kitchen supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Follow food safety guidelines and ensure hygiene standards are upheld at all times
Help with serving food during meal times, ensuring timely and courteous service
Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness and availability of ingredients
Support the team in setting up for events or special functions as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to the team environment
