Full job description

Overview
We are a local shop and forecourt with onsite bakery. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Kitchen Cook to join our team 5 days a week including a saturday, with the ability to cover holiday,. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent homemade baked goods for our bakery, and maintaining the kitchen's organisation. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment and have a passion for helping customers and cooking.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
Maintain an organised and tidy kitchen environment.
baking pies, cakes, bread, and other goods to sell in our instore bakery.
Handle phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Assist in inventory management, including managing stock levels.
Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring their needs are met.
Support team members in daily operations to ensure smooth shop and kitchen functionality.
Perform opening and closing checks in the kitchen

Qualifications

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
Proven time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Organisational skills to maintain an orderly kitchen environment.
Experience in the kitchen environment or customer service is an advantage but not essential, as training is available.
A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges within the kitchen.
