Account Manager – Sales & Customer Projects

Adaptabox
Full-Time | Permanent

Adaptabox is growing fast, and we’re looking for a brilliant Account Manager – Sales & Customer Projects to join the team and become one of the key people driving our customer experience forward.

This is not a sit-back-and-wait-for-the-phone-to-ring kind of role.

It’s fast-paced, varied, commercial and hands-on.

You’ll be speaking to new customers, progressing exciting projects, organising quotes, chasing opportunities, working with suppliers, helping coordinate designs and materials, raising invoices, managing accounts and making sure our customers feel looked after from the very first enquiry through to completion and beyond.

In short, you’ll be the person helping to keep everything moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take ownership of customers and opportunities from the moment they come into the business.

That means contacting new sales leads quickly, understanding what they’re looking for, asking the right questions and helping turn an initial idea into a genuine opportunity.

Some customers will know exactly what they want.

Others will arrive with little more than an idea and a Pinterest board.

Your job is to help guide them through the process.

You’ll nurture each opportunity, build the relationship, coordinate quotes and information and develop the enquiry until it’s ready for our senior management team to step in and close the deal.

Once a project is moving, you’ll remain a key point of contact, helping coordinate everything behind the scenes and making sure the customer always knows what is happening.

Your Day Could Include:

Calling new sales enquiries and finding out exactly what the customer wants
Following up quotes and keeping opportunities moving
Building relationships with prospective and existing customers
Preparing and coordinating customer quotations
Liaising with managers on pricing, specifications and project requirements
Working with our design team to organise drawings and customer concepts
Helping customers develop their ideas into real projects
Ordering materials, cladding and other project requirements
Speaking with suppliers and obtaining prices
Organising supplier orders and payments
Raising customer invoices
Keeping customers updated throughout their project
Managing aftercare once projects are completed
Looking after existing customer accounts and spotting future opportunities
Keeping sales pipelines, records and project information organised
Supporting general commercial and administrative tasks across the business

And probably solving a few unexpected problems along the way.

Someone who is organised, confident, friendly and comfortable picking up the phone.

You’ll enjoy speaking to customers, building relationships and turning conversations into opportunities.

You’ll also be the kind of person who notices something needs doing and sorts it rather than waiting for someone else to ask.

Happy working independently while still being part of a close team

Experience in account management, sales, customer service, construction, manufacturing, interiors, project coordination or a similar environment would be useful, but we’re equally interested in attitude, energy and personality.
