Post Title: Food & Beverage Assistant

Sites: Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre

Salary: Up to £26,510 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

The role:

BH Live is recruiting for a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team, at the newly redeveloped Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre. You will support the day-to-day delivery of the hospitality operation at the Outdoor Sports Centre, including a café service, food and drink preparation, customer service, stock control and ensuring cleaning standards are adhered to. You will also provide hospitality support for scheduled events.

You will provide a welcoming, efficient and a great customer service experience whilst ensuring all food safety, health and safety, cash handling and operational procedures are followed.

You will:

Deliver excellent customer service across the café, bar, retail and event hospitality areas.
Prepare and serve food and drinks in line with agreed standards and procedures.
Support the delivery of hospitality for events, bookings and centre activities.
Operate tills and EPoS systems accurately, following cash handling procedures.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across hospitality areas.
Follow all food safety, allergen, licensing and health and safety procedures.
Assist with stock replenishment, stock rotation and reporting low stock levels.

To be successful you will need:

A valid food safety & hygiene Level 2 qualification.
Great customer service and communication skills.
An understanding of the importance of food hygiene and cleanliness.
The ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
A flexible approach to working hours, as you may be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
