Purpose of the voluntary role

Evergreen purpose is to promote healthy ageing and positive attitudes towards older people; seeking relevant ways to honour old age and if needed, to serve through Advocacy, Friendship and practical support and our vision is for Stamford, the Deepings, Bourne and the surrounding villages to be seen as a great place to grow old.

The Office Admin Support Volunteer is a key role that ensures all our vacancies are posted on the relevant job boards and are circulated more broadly in the community. It is a flexible office-based role working with a fun and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

· To administer and publish jobs to appropriate websites / job boards / publications to provide maximum exposure.

· Manage initial screening of applications across various platforms, for example via the website, LinkedIn, and job boards

· Help ensure Evergreen’s vacancies are circulated in the wider local community

· Coordinating the placement of our leaflets, posters, newsletters being in available in the local community e.g the library, supermarket notice boards, sheltered housing notice boards

· General Volunteer admin

· Always work within Evergreen’s values and represent the charity in a professional and friendly manner

Key relationships:

· Working with the Volunteer Services Manager

· Working with Evergreen reception, staff and other volunteers.

· Working alongside other Volunteer Groups within the Trust

Skills, Qualifications and experience required:

· No formal qualifications are required. If you have an office based administration background this is ideal.

· Essential Skills: IT skills / computer literate. Good oral and written communication; Able to maintain confidentiality. Excellent telephone manner. Attention to detail. Organised.

Training and support required:

Evergreen Induction Training (half day Saturday)

Mandatory Online Safeguarding training

Invitation to attend relevant training courses as and when they are arranged

Initial training in the role and ongoing support from Volunteer Services Manager

Work Location: In person
