About The Role

Reporting to: Acuity Operations Manager

Location: City of London

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours: 08:00-17:00, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Description

The role of the Welcome Ambassador is to provide an exceptional first impression for all visitors attending the client’s offices. Positioned prominently within the main lobby, you will be the face of the building, delivering a warm, professional and engaging welcome while ensuring visitors are directed efficiently to the reception area on the Lower Mezzanine level.

As a Welcome Ambassador, you will be highly visible, approachable, and proactive in your service delivery. Your role is focused on creating a positive arrival experience by offering assistance, providing clear directions, and helping visitors feel comfortable and confident from the moment they enter the building.

Success in this role relies on outstanding interpersonal skills, a professional appearance, positive body language and a genuine passion for customer service. You will consistently demonstrate enthusiasm, attentiveness and a welcoming smile whilst maintaining a strong presence within the lobby area.

This is a standing position, requiring you to remain visible and accessible within the reception lobby throughout your shift.

Visitor Experience

Provide a warm, friendly and professional welcome to all visitors entering the building.

Act as the first point of contact for visitors attending the client’s offices.

Confidently direct visitors to the Lower Mezzanine level and other building destinations as required.

Assist visitors with wayfinding and general building enquiries.

Maintain an approachable, engaging and positive presence within the lobby area at all times.

Anticipate visitor needs and offer assistance proactively.

Ensure all visitors receive a consistent five-star customer experience.

Support visitors who may require additional guidance or assistance.

Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests, clients and occupiers.

Remain knowledgeable about building layouts and key destinations.

Liaise professionally with the reception and security teams to ensure a seamless visitor experience.

Customer Service Excellence

Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.

Demonstrate a positive attitude, enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the working day.

Build positive relationships with visitors, occupiers and colleagues.

Handle visitor enquiries with confidence, patience and courtesy.

Act as an ambassador for Acuity and the client, representing both organisations professionally.

Maintain a calm and professional manner during busy periods.

Take pride in your personal presentation and the visitor experience you provide.

Contribute to a culture of excellence and hospitality.

Lobby Presentation

Maintain a visible presence within the lobby area at all times.

Ensure the lobby environment remains welcoming, professional and presentable.

Report any visitor concerns or issues promptly to the appropriate team member.

Promote a positive atmosphere that reflects the standards expected by Acuity and the client.

Team Engagement

Work collaboratively with colleagues and onsite teams.

Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders.

Support a one-team approach in delivering exceptional service.

Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to assist where appropriate.

Uphold company values and professional standards at all times.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a customer-facing hospitality, retail, airline, hotel, concierge or front-of-house environment is desirable.

Outstanding customer service skills and a genuine passion for people.

Maintains a smart, professional appearance at all times.

Friendly, approachable and naturally engaging personality.

Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

Positive attitude with a warm and welcoming manner.

Ability to remain standing and active throughout the working day.
