REGISTERED MANAGER

Sharob Care has a PERMANENT position available for a Registered Manager at one of its care homes in Cornwall.

JOB TITLE: Registered Manager

TO START: October 2026

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be registered with the CQC as Manager of a 50 bed nursing home in Bude. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent quality of care and promoting best practice, supported by a full compliment of care, nursing and domestic staff, Office Manager, receptionist and Clinical Lead. In addition you will be supported by the Area Manager.

The role will involve a wide range of duties, which include but are not limited to:

Ensuring that the aims and objectives of the Home are met
Enabling and empowering people according to individual needs and abilities to promote quality of life
Ensuring best practice through personalised support, needs assessments, care planning and review
Maintaining Quality monitoring through regular and effective audits
Management of Medication
Safeguarding and DOLS procedures
CQC notifications
Effective recruitment, selection and supervision of staff
Ensuring that the service and staff practices comply with legislative and regulatory requirements.
General administrative duties including Off Duty and arranging cover
Establish and maintain effective relationships with other multi-disciplinary agencies
Assisting in the development and maintenance of systems and procedures.
Ensuring that working practices the Home remain within the requirements of Health and Safety legislation
Carrying out other duties reasonably required to ensure the successful operation of the Home.
To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with clinical supervision of trained staff.
To provide inspiring leadership to nursing and care colleagues and oversee the delivery of high quality care

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Compassionate
Flexible, positive & dynamic
Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
Good command of spoken & written English
Competence in the use of fax machines, printers, photocopiers, MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook is essential
Good communication, organisational & interpersonal skills
Confidence and ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
Experience working in a Management position within Health & Social Care
Clear and thorough knowledge of the Fundamental Standards of Quality & Safety, Mental Capacity Act and other relevant legislation
RMA/ Level 5 or equivalent
NMC Registration

LOCATION:Trelana, Bude, EX23 9EL

HOURS: 40 hours per week minimum

Working day: 09:00 – 17:00 (Mon – Friday)

(You may be required to work outside these times dependent on the needs of the service and on-call duties)

SALARY: £60 000 - £62500 (dep. on skills, qualifications & experience)

Performance & attendance related bonus. Monthyl pay. Permanent Contract.
