About Forty Four Maps

Forty Four Maps is a specialist design studio creating illustrated visitor maps, signage and wayfinding systems for holiday estates, visitor attractions, events and large venues.

Our maps help guests understand complex sites, locate facilities and navigate confidently across websites, welcome materials, printed guides and on-site signage.

We are building a focused client base across the UK and are looking for a commercially minded business-development partner to help identify suitable prospects, start conversations and introduce qualified opportunities.

The role

You will research and contact organisations that could benefit from professionally designed visitor maps and wayfinding.

Likely prospects include:

Holiday estates and lodge parks
Visitor attractions
Heritage destinations
Gardens and farm parks
Events and showgrounds
Wedding and accommodation estates

This is not a high-volume generic telesales role. The service is specialist, visual and project-based, so outreach must be thoughtful, relevant and professional.

Your primary objective will be to identify suitable organisations, reach the correct decision-maker and arrange a qualified introduction or consultation with the studio founder.

Responsibilities

Research organisations with outdated, unclear or inadequate visitor maps
Identify relevant decision-makers in marketing, operations or guest experience
Make initial contact by telephone, email or LinkedIn
Explain the commercial purpose of Forty Four Maps clearly
Qualify prospects based on need, timing, budget and decision-making authority
Arrange introductory calls for qualified prospects
Maintain accurate records of conversations and follow-ups
Represent the studio professionally and avoid unsolicited mass-spam tactics
Provide feedback on recurring objections and market response

Ideal candidate

You may be suitable for this role if you:

Communicate confidently by telephone and email
Are persistent without being aggressive
Can hold natural conversations with business owners and managers
Understand consultative or project-based sales
Are comfortable researching prospects independently
Can recognise when a business has a genuine operational need
Are organised and reliable with follow-ups
Have experience in hospitality, tourism, events, signage, print, design or B2B sales

Previous sales experience would be beneficial but is less important than professionalism, initiative and strong communication.

Commission structure

10% commission on projects introduced and closed
15% commission where you manage the opportunity through to an agreed proposal
Commission calculated on the project fee excluding external printing or production costs
Commission payable after the client’s deposit has cleared
No commission payable on cancelled, refunded or unpaid projects

Typical project values may range from approximately £1,000 to £4,500+, depending on scope.

Higher commission or repeat-client arrangements may become available following consistent performance.
