Overview

Join our vibrant, newly established team as a Kitchen Assistant/Prep Cook, where your enthusiasm and culinary skills will help create memorable dining experiences. You will play a vital part in supporting front of house and management by preparing ingredients, dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring, and organizing ingredients efficiently and accurately
Support the team with basic food preparation tasks to ensure timely service during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
Prepare ingredients for daily menus, including portioning and storing per health regulations
Help with dishwashing, waste disposal, and restocking supplies to keep the kitchen organized and hygienic
Follow all food safety protocols diligently to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are upheld
Serve as a helpful team member during meal service by supporting plating or delivery as needed

Experience

Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable
Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and food preparation processes
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of ingredients
Experience with meal preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills and responsibilities
Prior experience in catering or culinary roles will be advantageous but is not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to grow are key
