Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing diverse menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Oversee food production, ensuring all dishes are prepared to specification, consistently high in quality, and presented attractively.
Lead by example in food preparation, cooking, and plating techniques to maintain excellence in culinary standards.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff to foster a cohesive team environment.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery during busy periods.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent team management skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
Experience in food production, menu planning, and maintaining high-quality service standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role is perfect for a passionate culinary professional eager to contribute their expertise within a supportive team environment while advancing their career in hospitality management.
