Job Summary
Inspire Excellence Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and passionate Trampoline Coach to join our growing coaching team.
We are an established community club that has been delivering high-quality trampoline and gymnastics programmes across East London for over 13 years. Our coaches work with children of all abilities, from beginners taking their first bounce to gymnasts competing at regional and national level.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young people, develop athletic skills and be part of a supportive coaching team that is committed to excellence.
Hours Available
- Tuesday: 3:15pm – 6:00pm
- Wednesday: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
- Thursday: 3:15pm – 8:15pm
- Friday: 5:00pm – 8:30pm
- Saturday: 8:30am – 2:00pm
- Sunday: 10:00am – 1:00pm
Applicants do not need to be available for every session. We welcome applications from coaches who can commit to some or all of these hours.
About the Role
As a Trampoline Coach, you will deliver engaging, safe and progressive coaching sessions for children and young people across our recreational and competitive programmes. You will help participants build confidence, develop technical skills and enjoy a positive sporting experience in a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality trampoline coaching sessions for a range of ages and abilities.
- Ensure all sessions are delivered safely and in accordance with British Gymnastics guidance and health and safety requirements.
- Demonstrate appropriate techniques, drills and progressions to support participant development.
- Provide constructive feedback to help gymnasts improve their skills and confidence.
- Create a fun, positive and inclusive coaching environment.
- Support recreational and competitive gymnasts in achieving their individual goals.
- Monitor participant progress and adapt coaching methods where appropriate.
- Carry out routine equipment safety checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with the safe set-up and pack-down of trampolines, mats and all other gymnastics equipment before and after each session, ensuring equipment is stored correctly and safely.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, respect and good sportsmanship.
- Work collaboratively with the wider coaching team and support club events, competitions and holiday programmes where required.
Essential Requirements
- British Gymnastics Level 2 Trampoline Coach qualification (preferred).
- Level 1 coaches with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Current British Gymnastics membership (or willingness to obtain).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
- Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications (or willingness to complete).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Willingness to undertake the physical aspects of the role, including the safe set-up and pack-down of gymnastics equipment.
- A positive attitude with a genuine passion for coaching children and young people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience coaching competitive trampoline.
- Experience coaching Double Mini Trampoline (DMT).
- Experience working with children with additional needs.
- Judge qualification or willingness to train.
- Ability to support competitions, displays and holiday camps.
