Job Overview

We’re looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our Manchester team.
You’ll ensure that flats, communal areas, and plant rooms are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming.
From handling general repairs to supporting room turns, you’ll play a key role in keeping the site running efficiently and residents happy.

Key Responsibilities

Complete daily and weekly planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks
Handle general maintenance across plumbing, electrical, lighting, heating/cooling, and decorating
Carry out minor repairs and painting, escalating complex issues to contractors when needed
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests
Conduct site inspections and maintain clear, accurate records (including photos)
Support room turns within a 5-day SLA
Communicate effectively with residents, site managers, and the central office
Follow all Health & Safety procedures and site access protocols
Participate in training and improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Multi-trade skills (e.g. plumbing, joinery, decorating)
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Strong customer service and communication skills
Comfortable using job management systems (e.g. BigChange, FixFlow)
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
