Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional environment. Working a 4 day week with 3 days off this role offers the perfect work/life balance, applicants must have at least 6yrs experience and be able to provide references

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes
Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations before, during, and after service
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control to minimise waste
Support junior staff and provide training where necessary to uphold quality standards
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative ideas and improvements

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary arts
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Ability to serve food efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
