Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and taste.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning as required.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service periods.
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
