About the Role

Aurum Haven Maintenance Services Ltd., part of the Handog Holdings group, is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to support the upkeep and maintenance of care homes and supported living properties.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll help ensure properties remain safe, compliant, well-presented, and fully operational for the people who live in them. You’ll work across multiple sites, carrying out day-to-day repairs, responding to maintenance issues, and supporting the wider operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance and repair work including joinery, painting, patching, and tiling
Complete basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, and unblocking pipes
Install and replace fixtures, fittings, appliances, and white goods
Maintain outdoor areas including fencing, gates, and general property upkeep
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues across multiple properties
Identify and escalate specialist or complex repairs where necessary
Keep accurate records of completed works and maintenance tasks
Manage workload effectively and travel independently between sites

Requirements

Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or handyperson role
Strong practical skills with the ability to work independently
Reliable, proactive, and organised approach
Full UK driving licence
Comfortable working within occupied care and supported living environments
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience within care homes, healthcare, or supported living settings
Basic understanding of health & safety procedures
Basic IT and record-keeping skills
