Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and inspiring the team to achieve excellence in every dish served.

Duties

Manage and supervise the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation and presentation
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery
Lead, motivate, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling waste
Train staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and hospitality service standards
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead and develop staff effectively
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential
Strong cooking skills across various cuisines and food styles
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Experience in managing food service operations, including serving processes
Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality management are preferred
