Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role involves providing exceptional patient care while managing front desk responsibilities. The successful candidate will be an organised, communicative individual with a passion for supporting patients and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This position offers valuable experience in dental healthcare and customer service within a friendly, team-oriented environment.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise dental instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including passing instruments and ensuring patient comfort
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and update files as necessary
Schedule appointments, confirm upcoming visits, and manage cancellations or rescheduling requests
Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing enquiries appropriately
Handle administrative tasks such as processing payments, filing documents, and managing correspondence
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised at all times

Experience

Prior experience in a dental or healthcare environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to patient needs
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Basic IT literacy for managing electronic health records and appointment scheduling systems
Organisational skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
Ability to work well within a team while also demonstrating independence when required

Pay: £10.85-£14.00 per hour
