Full job description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Builder to carry out residential renovation projects as well as reactive maintenance for our properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of building tasks, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general building work including bricklaying, plastering, tiling, and basic carpentry
Undertake demolition and site preparation for renovation projects
Install fixtures and fittings such as kitchens, bathrooms, doors, and windows
Perform structural alterations in accordance with plans and specifications
Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
Ensure all work complies with building regulations and safety standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients
Identify and report any issues or delays to the managers
Manage materials efficiently and minimise waste

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in residential building or renovation work
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
Ability to perform a variety of trade tasks to a high standard
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
Valid driving licence

Qualifications (Preferred):

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction or equivalent
CSCS card
Relevant trade certifications

Working Conditions:

Primarily on-site at residential properties
May involve working at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions
Physical role requiring lifting, bending, and manual labour

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
