Al Ameen Primary School is an independent Islamic primary school in the Tyseley area of Birmingham.

Al Ameen Primary School is looking for a qualified teacher for a position in Lower Key Stage 2. Al Ameen Primary School is a lovely single form entry Islamic school in Tyseley, Birmingham.

This role requires somebody who has a strong knowledge of the key stage 1/2 curriculum, and is of the Muslim faith.

The role is 5 days per week, with full planning commitments, and is from the start of September in the 2026/27 academic year.

We follow local authority term time dates with additional days off for parts of Ramadhan and Eid.

Skills and experience required for our teaching jobs;

· An enthusiastic, well-motivated and talented classroom practitioner
· An ability to inspire children, staff and parents alike
· Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum
· A friendly caring nature
· The capacity to identify and target specific, individual needs
· Keen to learn and develop professionally
· Can create an environment that nurtures and stimulates positive attitudes, independence and an innovative approach to facilitating learning and teaching
· Have excellent behaviour management strategies and a strong directive presence within the classroom

Candidates who do not have QTS but have a degree in English or Maths and have at least 2 years experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum may also apply. ECTs are also welcome to apply.

An understanding of Islamic values and principles is required with a commitment to work within an Islamic environment in line with an Islamic ethos.
