Full job description

Family Law Solicitor (Minimum 3–5 Years' PQE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join our well-respected Family Law team.

Working alongside an established and supportive team, the successful candidate will manage their own varied caseload independently with minimal supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and motivated solicitor looking to further their career within a friendly, professional and positive working environment.

The caseload will include a broad range of family law matters, including:

Divorce and separation
Financial remedy proceedings
Private children matters
Cohabitation disputes
Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
Domestic abuse matters
Separation agreements

Key responsibilities include:

Taking client instructions and providing clear, practical legal advice, including likely timescales and costs.
Managing a varied caseload independently from instruction through to conclusion.
Preparing court documents, correspondence, witness statements, consent orders and other legal documentation.
Conducting negotiations on behalf of clients and liaising with the courts, counsel, experts and other professionals where appropriate.
Representing clients at hearings where appropriate or instructing counsel.
Progressing matters efficiently, prioritising workloads effectively and keeping clients fully informed throughout.

The successful candidate will have:

Be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3–5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in family law.
Experience managing a broad range of privately funded family matters.
The ability to manage a full caseload independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication, organisational and client care skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of an established team.
Accreditation with Resolution or additional Resolution qualifications would be desirable.
