Overview

Mercury are a small metal working company based in Halesowen

We are seeking a proactive and organised Internal Sales and Logistics Person to join our team. This role involves managing sales administration, coordinating logistics, and providing excellent customer service to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer literacy, organisational skills, and effective communication abilities to support our sales processes and logistical requirements. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their career within a dynamic business environment.

Duties

Manage sales administration tasks using Sage, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Coordinate logistics activities including order processing, scheduling deliveries, and tracking shipments.
Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and inventory levels.
Liaise with customers to provide exceptional service, answer enquiries, and process orders efficiently.
Support the sales team with administrative tasks such as preparing reports and presentations.
Organise schedules for deliveries and pickups to optimise logistical efficiency.
Utilise IT systems to update customer information and manage data securely.
Assist in resolving any logistical or sales-related issues promptly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to sales and logistics.

Experience

Previous administrative experience is preferred, ideally within a sales or logistics environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
Experience with CRM software such as Sage or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Demonstrable computer literacy and IT skills relevant to sales administration roles.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with good time management skills.
Customer service experience is advantageous, with a focus on delivering professional support. This position provides an engaging environment for candidates eager to utilise their organisational talents while supporting vital business operations through effective sales administration and logistics coordination.

Pay: £24,420.00-£33,000.00 per year
