Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting oral health education, and assisting with clinical procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a professional team committed to delivering exceptional dental services. The role requires a proactive individual with strong knowledge of dental hygiene / therapist practices, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup and additional clinical responsibilities as required of dental therapist if qualified as therapist .
Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in patient records.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
Assist dentists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain sterilisation of dental instruments and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas.
Keep detailed documentation of treatments provided and patient progress.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records as needed.

Requirements

Valid registration as a Dental Hygienist / Therapist with the relevant regulatory body.
Knowledge of Exact software is advantageous for digital imaging tasks.
Experience with medical imaging techniques, including radiography, is essential.
Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral and maxillofacial structures.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and clinical procedures.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
